Cast your minds back to 2001 and Jennifer Lopez was topping the charts with Love Don’t Cost A Thing – the lead single from her second album J Lo that soared to number one in the US album charts.
That was 20 years ago and to celebrate just how far she’s come since then – grossing $3.1billion (£2.2billion) in the film industry and racking up 70million record sales – Jennifer decided to give her fans a little (ok, huge) treat.
Taking to Instagram, Jennifer – who was recently seen performing at President Joe Biden’s inauguration – shared a video of her recreating her iconic music video to Love Don’t Cost A Thing and it is everything.
Y’know the one, where she sassily struts down to the beach just casually taking off her expensive clothes and throwing away her jewellery just to prove a point that she can’t be bought. How could we forget.
Jen ends up down at the beach and looks incredibly as she expertly writhes around in the sand and playfully whips off her top while pushing away the camera.
Well, 20 years on and the star is up to her old tricks and, boy, that woman does not age.
In her latest video, Jen is seen rocking shades and a similar white jacket, as she struts down the sand, throwing away her designer gear and her gold bracelets.
And, yep, she even recreated that famous ending, as she cheekily went to take off her T-shirt, before hitting the camera away with her hand.
‘Happy 20th Anniversary to my 2nd album J.Lo!!!! Had a little fun at a recent shoot ? #Throwback #LoveDontCostAThing #JLO20thAnniversary #LoveDontCostAThingChallenge @jlobeauty #JLOBeauty,’ she captioned her post, while fans freaked out in the comments.
‘The song and video that made many of us fall in love with you ?,’ penned one follower, while another said: ‘NO BC THIS IS SO ICONIC WTF❤️❤️.’
‘Love, Love, Love this!!! ?✨,’ wrote one fan, as one more commented: ‘The best video you will see today ??.’
Love Don’t Cost A Thing went on to become one of Jennifer’s biggest hits and became her first ever UK number one single, while her album J Lo debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart.
It topped the chart in the same week her film The Wedding Planner – a rom-com she stars alongside Matthew McConaughey in – topped the box office, making her the first ever female in the US to have a number one album and film at the same time.
Looking back at her success over the years, Jennifer thanked fans for all their support in a sweet post she shared online. It read: ‘As I reflect on the fact that it’s the #JLo20thAnniversary, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for being with me, loving me and supporting me through all the ups and downs.
‘Thank you so much for all the love over the past 20 years!! I love you so much!! #MyLoveDontCostAThing #SameGirl.’
