Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reunited in the Dominican Republic after revealing they are ‘working through things’, following split rumours.
It was recently claimed that the singer, 51, and former baseball star Alex, 45, had called off their two-year engagement after dating for four years.
Responding to the rumours, the couple denied they had split and instead explained they are ‘working through things’ in a statement.
Sources at the time had told Page Six that Alex was in Miami gearing up for the baseball season, while Jennifer is busy filming for her movie in the Dominican.
However, Alex has since flown out to meet Jennifer and confirmed their reunion by sharing a snap from his exotic getaway on Instagram.
The sports star filmed the sea view from his villa for fans on his Instagram story and captioned it: ‘Happy Monday. New week. New day. Onward. Upward.’
Sources told People: ‘Alex flew to the Dominican Republic yesterday. Jennifer was excited to see him in person. They are really trying to figure things out.’
The insider added: ‘It was a happy reunion.’
The publication reports that Alex jetted off to see Jennifer over the weekend and that he told photographers in footage online that he ‘wasn’t single’ when asked about the split speculation.
His appearance came after TMZ reported that the pair are still together and shared a statement from Alex and Jennifer that read: ‘All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.’
TMZ has been told the ‘things’ the pair are working on have ‘nothing to do with a third party’, following claims that Alex had been linked to Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy.
Alex hasn’t publicly addressed the claims, but an insider told Entertainment Tonight that Alex ‘doesn’t know’ Madison and has ‘never met her’.
He and Jennifer first began dating in 2017 and got engaged two yers later in 2019, when Alex proposed during a trip to the Bahamas.
The pair had been planning their wedding, with Jennifer revealing that they were forced to move their big day twice due to the coronavirus pandemic impacting on their plans.
