Jesy Nelson sends ‘be kind’ message as she shares emotional video after Little Mix exit

Jesy Nelson has encouraged her followers to ‘be kind’ after watching a heartwarming video on social media.

The Holiday singer, who quit Little Mix last month to focus on her mental health, shared a sweet video about a woman who lost her job cleaning a building of apartments due to the coronavirus pandemic after working there for 20 years.

In the clip, the woman is seen reacting after learning residents in the building bought her the penthouse apartment.

Jesy wrote in her Instagram stories: ‘Being kind in this world is the best thing you can be in my eyes.’

Just days ago, the 29-year-old singer reflected on her winning a National Television Award for her critically acclaimed BBC documentary Odd One Out, about the trolling she received during her time in Little Mix.

Alongside a photo of her receiving the award, Jesy said: ‘A year ago today,’ along with a heart emoji.

Jesy is said to be ‘focusing on herself’ at the moment following her split from boyfriend Sean Sagar.

The couple dated for nine months but insiders say the timing was no longer right for their relationship to blossom.

Sources close to the pair told The Sun: ‘Jesy and Sean have decided to take some time apart. It’s such a shame, as they made a lovely couple, but recently things haven’t been right between them.’

They added: ‘Jesy just left Little Mix and is working hard on herself right now – she has to put herself first.’

In her statement announcing she was leaving Little Mix, Jesy explained that she ‘pressure’ being in the group and in the spotlight had become too much.

She said: ‘The truth is recently being in the band has really token a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

‘There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focussing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process.’
