Joe Wicks became a lockdown hero after he kept us all fit and active during the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, a new supercut by casetteboy, shared exclusively with Metro.co.uk for YouTube’s New Year’s Eve live stream, celebrates the fitness guru in the best way – by cutting together some of the best and most bizarre parts of his workouts.
From his rather unusual workout noises (the triumphant ‘Beat that, you trout-sniffer’ has to be one of our faves), to the dubious mid-workout thoughts (‘What is a pineapple doing in my living room?’), it’s quite something to behold.
Of course, the clip begins with Joe hyping everyone up, saying: ‘Come on Joe, let’s do this. Yeah boi!’
With clips being cut together, he goes on to say: ‘We’re gonna do four seconds of work today, so four seconds of work, followed by six months of rest.’
‘That’s done me,’ he insists, and we quite agree.
The clip goes on to show some of Joe’s best catchphrases, and cut together moments that are sure to have fans in stitches.
‘If you came yesterday and took part,’ Joe says at one point, ‘I forgot to tell you to stop running on the spot. I’m so sorry.’
The clip was cut together for Hello 2021: UK, YouTube’s New Year’s Eve celebration.
The likes of Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, AJ Tracey, and Katherine Ryan are set to appear on the live stream, as we bid a very glad farewell to 2020.
Joe has had an incredible year, from being on the Queen’s birthday honours list to landing huge opportunities including his new app after his two lockdown workout series PE With Joe and Wake Up With Joe.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that the star scored YouTube’s number one trending video in the UK with PE With Joe on March 23.
‘What an incredible year. The pandemic has been really tough for everyone, but I’m so proud that I was able to help so many people with my workouts on YouTube,’ he said in a statement.
‘I never could have imagined that ‘PE with Joe’ would take off the way it did, but it will always be one of my most proudest achievements.’
Hello 2021: UK airs on New Year’s Eve on YouTube from 10:30pm.
