Jonathan Van Ness casually let slip that he’d married his ‘best friend’ in 2020 as he celebrated the New Year and now, he’s revealing all when it comes to their romance.
The Queer Eye star, 33, gave fans an insight into his relationship, as he reflected on his favourite moments he’s spent with Mark since their very first date.
Taking to Instagram, Jonathan revealed the pair first went on a date in London, before enjoying their first trip away as a couple with his family and close friends to Amsterdam.
A smitten Jonathan told fans that things had ‘felt different’ with Mark, as he gushed that he was looking forward to making ‘many more’ memories with his love after tying the knot.
He wrote: ‘We went on a date in London, which turned into more dates whilst I was on comedy tour. At the end of that time I was taking my mom, aunt & friends on a mini break to Amsterdam.
‘I wanted @marklondon to come with but, was it a bit intense to ask Mark to come after a couple weeks worth’s of dates to come meet my mom & and friends on a mini break? Maybe so, but something about Mark felt different and I’m quite sure he felt the same.’
Jonathan continued: ‘Here’s some of my favorite moments together and here’s to making many more ?️? Thanks so much for your support and love for us!! Love y’all!!

His post was made up of a collection of photos of the pair, including cute selfies of the pair cuddling up together, one fun snap of the boys wearing matching black bodysuits to channel their inner Beyoncé and a photo that appeared to be from the couple’s wedding day.
In the picture, Jonathan and Mark are seen wearing matching white suits, as the TV star stares adoringly at his husband.
Jonathan announced news he had wed in a round-up post of 2020 he shared on New Year’s Eve.
Reflecting on the year gone by, Jonathan wrote: ‘Thank you universe for allowing me to be here & thanks to everyone who has supported me. 2020 was a year unlike any other. I got to campaign & get more involved politically.
‘I finished my tour in Australia & NZ for what I didn’t know would be my last standup show for who knows how long. I got married to my best friend & have a loving partner to continue building my life with. I had weekly zoom quizzes with folks I miss all the time @nicolacoughlan & co.’
He was inundated with congratulatory messages from both fans and his celebrity pals, with model Tess Holliday commenting: ‘Omggg yay! This is the longest I’ve kept a secret ?? it almost killed me hahahaha I love you and I’m so happy for you!! You deserve it all! ???.’
Tan France added: ‘Happy New Year, Jackaaay! I love you. Here’s hoping next year is so much better, and that we can finally celebrate your marriage ❤️.’
