Jonnie Irwin has posted more photos from his Father’s Day celebrations after getting a present to commemorate the occasion.
The A Spot In The Sun The 49-year-old host said last year that he may only have’months to live’ after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Over the last three months, the TV personality has been quite open about his battle with lung cancer, which has moved to his brain.
He recently posted gorgeous family images of his Father’s Day, which he described as the “greatest ever,” complete with Guinness cake, cricket, and loved ones.
His children, Rex, four, and twins Rafa and Cormac, two, are ignorant of his condition.
Re-updating followers Yesterday, Jonnie shared a photo of a Father’s Day gift he received from Time Out Space Furniture on his recent wonderful family moments.
The large patio table and chairs appeared to have been put to good use by the family during a few lovely sunny days.
In other photos, Jonnie can be seen having his Guinness cake with a cup of something warm as the kids played in the garden.
The sun beat down on the cheerful scenario, which Jonnie shot on camera while one of his children sat by him, clearly unknowing that this may be his last few months with his father.
Because of the present, Jonnie stated that they would eat all of their meals outside, “weather allowing.”

He captioned the extra pictures with: ‘Super grateful to @time_out_space for my Fathers Day present.
‘Weather permitting we’re using this dining set for all of our meals and can at last have a proper grownup garden party!’
The comments section flooded with admiration and support for the TV star, as one person wrote: ‘This is so wonderful. Have the most wonderful time with your beautiful family.’
Another said: Enjoy Jonnie. You deserve all these special moments. Sending love and best wishes ❤️💙.’
In his original Father’s Day post, Jonnie shared some gorgeous family photographs, and wrote: ‘Breakfast of Chocolate Guinness cake baked expertly my brilliant wife then cards from the boys and visit from my brother in law for a brief pillion ride back in time to enjoy some of the highs and lows of the Ashes ending in more cake with more family washed down by a drop of champers.’ [sic]
Jonnie has stated that he has not informed his children about the sad illness because he does not want to ‘confuse’ them.
‘I keep being asked, “Are you going to tell them?” but tell them what?’, he told Hello!.
‘It would be horrible news that they’d have to get their heads around. And it would confuse the hell out of Rex – he’s got a shocking enough day coming. Let’s bury our heads in the sand for as long as possible.’
