Kaley Cuoco finds Pete Davidson ‘very sweet and hysterical’ as their ‘close friendship’ is revealed following her marriage split

Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson are set to star alongside each other in upcoming rom-com Meet Cute and it sounds like filming for the movie has cemented their friendship.

Following her split from husband Karl Cook, Kaley, 35, has reportedly become ‘close friends’ with comedian Pete, 27.

Insiders have shared an insight into the pair’s friendship, with sources claiming Kaley thinks the Saturday Night Live host is ‘hysterical and very sweet’.

An insider told E! News: ‘She is close friends with Pete. She thinks he is hysterical and very sweet.

‘They’ve gotten to know each other well. She has a lot of fun with him and they enjoy hanging out.’

It comes after sources told The Sun that Kaley and Pete – who previously dated Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor – seem ‘very tight’ after striking up a friendship on set in New York.

‘Pete and Kaley have got on incredibly well since day one… when the cameras stopped rolling they’d be cracking jokes and were clearly enjoying one another’s company,’ the source claimed.

‘A friendship has definitely been formed between them and they seem very tight.’

Kaley is no doubt throwing herself into filming following her split from husband Karl, 30, after three years of marriage.

The couple announced their plans to separate, earlier this month, with Kaley officially filing for divorce in Los Angeles.

She and Karl shared a joint statement to confirm their split and insisted things were left amicably between them. It read: ‘Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realised that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions.

‘We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary.’

The statement continued: ‘We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further.’

Addressing the break up, sources have claimed that Kaley ‘realised it wasn’t right with Karl’ and no longer felt like the pair were ‘on the same page’.

‘It became clear it wasn’t going to work with him,’ an insider revealed to E!.

Kaley, who is best known for playing Penny in sitcom The Big Bang Theory, tied the knot with Karl in June 2018.

They wed in an intimate ceremony at a horse stable near San Diego, California.

The actress was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting, who she wed in 2013 after six months of dating. They divorced three years later in 2016.
