Kanye West says he will be appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast after he reached out on Twitter asking to be a guest.
The rapper claims he has been given freedom to ‘design the set’ for their episode, telling fans it will arrive next week.
The Joe Rogan Experience, launched in 2009, regularly fetches millions of views and features comedians, actors, political candidates and journalists as guests including Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr, Wiz Khalifa, Bernie Sanders and Mike Tyson.
On Saturday he tweeted screenshots of himself chatting to Joe over a video call, saying: ‘Joe Rogan said it’s cool for me to design the set for our podcast this Friday’.
Five days earlier he posted a video of the host talking about him on the podcast.
‘Would love to go on Joe Rogan’s podcast LIVE this week…I have my team trying to get your number…Joe I’m in Calabasas…Let’s do this my friend,’ he tweeted.
In the video, comedian Joe called Ye ‘a very nice guy’ and described their chat as ‘intense’.
Joe himself is yet to comment on having the Touch The Sky rapper on the show.
The father-of-four is still gamely continuing his bid for president, recently urging fans to write his name onto the ballot when they go to vote.
He also released a campaign video asking for write-in votes for him to take over from President Donald Trump.
The 43-year-old vowed to ‘build a stronger country by building stronger families’, and called for people to ‘act on faith’.
‘By turning to faith we will be the kind of nation, the kind of people God intends us to be,’ he added.
Yeezy’s campaign hasn’t been smooth sailing – he has missed several ballot deadlines in key states after failing to meet the deadline to hand in documents needed to register.
He’s also faced allegations of electoral fraud and his first, and so far only, rally saw him make headlines for his tearful revelations about his marriage to Kim Kardashian.
