Kara Tointon has confirmed she is expecting her second child with fiancé Marius Jensen.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 37, and Marius are already parents to son Frey, one, and are set to welcome another boy.
Kara revealed the pair’s exciting news in an interview with Hello! magazine, where she debuted her growing baby bump.
She revealed that the couple had wanted another baby, but she fell pregnant ‘much quicker’ than they had both been expecting.
‘I think this year has brought so many things in different ways. At the beginning of the year I was due to start a play and now I’m at home in a little cocoon and pregnant,’ she told the publication.
‘We really wanted a sibling for Frey, so we said, “if it happens, it happens, let’s go with the flow,” and it happened much quicker than we expected.’
Kara revealed she found out she was pregnant again in May and gushed that she and Marius ‘feel so lucky’ to be expanding their brood.
The actress, who is known for starring in BBC soap EastEnders as Dawn Swann, confirmed she and Marius are expecting another boy, as she joked she’s going to be ‘outnumbered’ in their family.
Hoping that her two sons will be just as close as her and her sister Hannah Tointon, who fans will know from Channel 4 series The Inbetweeners, Kara said: ‘Hannah and I have such a close bond, so now I am thinking how lovely for Frey to have a brother.’
Kara and Marius welcomed son Frey at the end of November in 2018, just weeks after confirming their engagement.
The couple are known for being relatively private when it comes to their relationship, but Kara has revealed that the pair are in no rush to tie the knot.
The star admitted that their nuptials keep getting ‘put on hold’, as she insisted she is happy to wait when it comes to getting wed until she is in a place where she can ‘enjoy’ her big day and share it with family.
Kara is due to give birth to her second child in January.
