Kate Beckinsale has reminded us all what life was like before coronavirus as she shared a video of her drinking tequila from an ice sculpture’s bum.
The actress, 47, shared a video of her cringing after taking a shot of tequila through the luge last New Year’s Eve.
She wrote alongside it: ‘I suppose I am glad that I managed to experience drinking tequila out of an ice bottom before Covid was invented (this time last year)otherwise I’d always be wondering if it was possibly my thing @gunnarfitness #peerpressure#cantimagineanyoneeverdidthis’.
Given the coronavirus pandemic shut down the world, banned hugs and kisses and meant we all have to wear masks in public, seeing people share drinks through an ice sculpture where everyone has to put their mouth on the same bit to drink does seem very alien in 2020.
Oh, the heady days of 2019…
Earlier in the week Kate had also shared a video of her giving her friend a New Year kiss, joking that the pair of them may have started the coronavirus pandemic.
Referencing the claims the pandemic started with a mutated form of the virus moving from bats to humans, she joked: ‘New year 2019. Apparently a couple of old bats started all this off . Hmm…..’
It comes after Kate’s ex, Michael Sheen reflected on their 2003 split last month, admitting it was a ‘difficult experience to go through’.
Michael, who shares 21-year-old daughter Lily with Kate, had been with the actress for eight years before they parted ways.
He told Annie MacManus on her Changes podcast: ‘It’s always messy and always complicated… Ultimately, there is no real blame, life is just hard.
‘Going through that experience of a relationship breaking down and having a young child, and then because of my daughter and her mum living in another country, having to make a life in a new place whilst going through that whole experience, which is difficult enough, that was really tough.’
