Katie Price is awaiting a key scan to find out when she will be able to walk again after breaking both of her feet in July.
The former glamour model, 42, has been in a wheelchair since she broke her feet while on holiday in Turkey and underwent surgery to repair them when she arrived back in the UK.
Katie has kept her followers updated with her recovery, revealing that she is now able to stand but is not allowed to put weight on her feet to walk as of yet.
Sources have revealed to The Sun that she is due to have a scan to see when she might be able to get back on her feet when she returns from her holiday to the Maldives with boyfriend Carl Woods. 31.
They explained: ‘One foot has been slower to heal than the other and she’s still in a lot of pain.
‘But this scan will tell her when she can walk again, and how much pain she’ll be in.
‘She’ll never be pain-free, she will find walking painful for the rest of her life, but she’s remaining positive and is really excited to find out when she’ll be able to walk on her own again.’
Katie had been told that it could take up to two years for her to recover from her injuries but has surprised doctors with how well her feet have healed so far.
After photos emerged of Katie snorkelling in the Maldives, she was forced to hit back at trolls who accused her of lying about her injuries.
She shared photos of her feet following the major operation to put them back together, telling them: ‘For people who said I haven’t broken my feet or people saying I had a bunion operation (even though I’ve never had bunions) still won’t admit they wrongly accused me and speculated again saying I’ve made it all up, will now see I wasn’t lying to the point I’ve had MAJOR SURGERY to my life changing injuries.
‘And a MASSIVE THANKYOU TO THE INCREDIBLE SURGEONS who have made it possible for me to be able walk again in time and without them this wouldn’t have been possible!
‘Andy Roche, Tim Sinnett and Arash Aframiam you are incredibly at what you do! Chelsea Westminster hospital have been amazing to me too.’
Katie also shared X-rays of her heels which have had metal plates and screws put in them to fix the broken bones.
