Katie Price will be sentenced today following her September arrest for drink-driving, with the reality star warned she could face jail time.

Earlier this year the mother-of-five was arrested for drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance following a crash near her home in Sussex.

The 43-year-old admitted drink-driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance, with her sentencing being deferred to today following a stay in The Priory.

Her sentencing is listed for 2pm at Crawley Magistrates’ Courts.

The star had previously entered her pleas at the same court on September 29, a day after telling police: ‘I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all’, following a collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green.

At that hearing, her sentencing was adjourned on the condition that she have treatment at the Priory Centre, not commit any further offences, and be banned from driving in the interim.

Officers had responded to the crash at about 6.20am, and Price was arrested and taken to hospital.

The court heard a drugs wipe gave a positive reading for cocaine and a roadside breath test taken by Price following the accident was positive for alcohol.

An image shared by police from the scene showed a car flipped on its side.

After the crash Price’s family had expressed concern for her wellbeing.

In a statement from the family shared on Price’s Instagram account, they said: ‘As a family we have for some time been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and overall mental health.

‘Today our worst fears nearly came true. As a family we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.

‘We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone.’

Last month, public records revealed Price and her fiance Carl Woods, a car salesman, had obtained a marriage licence in Las Vegas.

Price arrived in the city, which bills itself as the marriage capital of the world, the week the US reopened its borders to tourists, and was seen with Woods attending Clark County Marriage License Bureau. However, soon after, Woods revealed the pair had no intention of getting married in Vegas.

A timeline of events:

September 28: Price was taken to hospital following a single-vehicle collision near Partridge Green.

A statement from Sussex Police said at the time: ‘Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green around 6.20am on Tuesday (September 28).

‘A woman, 43, was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, and has been taken to hospital to be checked over.

‘The road was blocked temporarily while recovery of the vehicle was arranged.’

September 28: Price’s family releases a statement, sharing concern for the star.

‘As a family we have for some time been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and overall mental health. Today our worst fears nearly came true.

‘As a family we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.

‘We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone. We would kindly ask that the media and wider public give Kate the time and space she needs to seek the necessary treatment, so she can hopefully return to the Kate we know and love as a mother, daughter and sister.’

September 29: Price pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and driving while unfit to drive through drink, at Crawley Magistrates’ Court.

Her sentencing was deferred until December 15 to allow her to have treatment at the Priory Centre and speak to the probation service.

Chair of the bench Julie Hutton at Crawley Magistrate’s Court told her she was free to go but warned her against driving in the interim, saying: ‘We regularly send people to prison for driving whilst disqualified.’

October 1: Pictures emerged of Price being dropped off at the Priory by her father as she began treatment.

October 24: Price’s family releases another statement, saying the star takes ‘full responsibility for her actions’.

It read: ‘Kate acknowledges and takes full responsibility for her actions. She knows they were wrong and apologises.

‘Kate is deeply loved and she loves her family.

‘We are all there for her right now – and her children, who she loves dearly, are giving her strength as a mum.’
