Katie Price and Carl Woods might have only got together in the summer but the couple are already planning their future – and it looks like there could be a wedding sooner rather than later.
According to reports, Katie is said to be keen to walk down the aisle with Carl so that her mum Amy can be there to see her big day.
Amy, who has an incurable lung condition, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, has apparently given Carl the ‘seal of approval’.
A source told The Sun: ‘I think the reason Katie is in such a rush to marry Carl is the fact her mum is very ill.
‘Amy likes Carl – she gave him the seal of approval at the weekend as she can see how happy he makes Katie and how much the kids like him.
‘That’s all she wants – to see Katie in a happy stable relationship. So part of the reason Katie is rushing forward in the relationship is the fact that her mum is so ill and Katie would love her to be at the wedding if she’s well enough.’
A rep for Katie confirmed that Amy had given her approval, saying that Carl has ‘all the hallmarks of good husband material’.
They added: ‘With Amy’s condition being terminal, time is a reality factor – there is no way Amy would not to be present to see her daughter marry Carl.’
Amy celebrated her birthday last week and Katie, 42, was able to see her in person after passing a coronavirus test to ensure her mum’s safety.
Carl, 31, also posted a tribute to Amy from the day, writing: ‘Happy Birthday to the MotherinLaw Amy @katieprice @pp_fencing and SisterinLaw @sophie_pricey such a great family to be in for now and years to come’.
The couple have since flown out to the Maldives on a ‘baby-making holiday’, with sources claiming they are ready to have a child together.
The former glamour model already has Harvey, 18, from her relationship with Dwight Yorke, 15-year-old Junior and 13-year-old Princess from her marriage to Peter Andre, and Jett, seven, and unny, six, from her marriage to Kieran Hayler.
Katie’s mum Amy had been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017 and had been told she may only have two or three years to live with the condition, which causes scarring to the lungs and reduces the ability to breathe.
Carl would be Katie’s fourth husband after Peter, Alex Reid and Kieran, who she is currently divorcing, with the paperwork expected to be finalised this week.
