Katie Price ‘thinking of jetting off’ on holiday to recover from alleged assault after cancelling awards appearance

Katie Price is reportedly thinking of taking some time away on holiday following the alleged assault which left her with facial injuries.

The mum-of-five, 43, was left with a split eye and suspected fractured jaw after allegedly being attacked in the house she had been staying at in Essex.

Katie’s £50,000 engagement ring from fiancé Carl Woods was also reportedly taken during the incident, with a 32-year-old man being arrested and later bailed for assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.

A source told The Sun that Katie is thinking of taking a holiday to help her recover, having pulled out of a scheduled appearance at the British LGBT Awards on Friday.

They said: ‘Katie’s actually really proud of the decision she made not to attend the awards show. In the past she might have jumped right back in but Katie is trying to be kind to herself and try to get her head round what’s happened.’

Katie’s management team have told here there is ‘no rush’ for her to get back to work, but the source added: ‘Katie would like to get back to normal as quickly as she can and if she can get back to work for a bit next week she will.

‘She’s also thinking about jetting off for a few days away next month to get some more time and space.’

The former glamour model had been taken to hospital after police were called to her home at 1.30am on Monday morning.

She is now said to be planning a ‘ring of steel’ with 24-hour security to look after her and she already has a protection dog.

Katie revealed she was ‘devastated’ after the attack and sources have claimed she is in a lot of pain and unable to sleep from her injuries.
