Kendall Jenner branded the ‘Kardashian curse’ narrative ‘offensive’ (Picture: E!)
Kendall Jenner has blasted the so-called ‘Kardashian curse’, a narrative created by fans that suggests dating a member of the famous family can derail a man’s life and career.
The Kardashian-Jenner family have had several high profile relationships including Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick and, of course, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
In the reunion episode of the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, host Andy Cohen asked the ladies about this idea directly, which the model blasted as ‘offensive’.
The reality TV star added that the men in the relationships should shoulder the blame for what happens in their own lives and take responsibility for their actions.
‘You guys have talked about this, it’s like the men have trouble after you,’ Andy said.
‘What I don’t like about this narrative is that the blame is on us,’ Kendall replied.
‘I think the man need to take that responsibility. I think that we’re all extremely giving and caring and loving women.

‘And when there is a man in our lives we like, give everything to them, and as a family we all love them so much. It’s almost offensive, personally.’
Her sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian pointed out that Travis and Kanye – both rappers – are ‘doing great’.
Kim and Kanye are currently going through a separation however Kylie and Travis, who share three-year-old daughter Stormi, have sparked speculation that the musician might not be an ex any more.
The on-off couple jetted off to New York last week by private jet with Stormi as Travis was honoured at the 72nd annual Parsons Benefit, and stopped off for a spontaneous photoshoot at The Rooftop at Pier 17.
When he accepted his award the star gave a shout out to his little family, saying on stage: ‘Stormi, I love you and wifey, I love you.’
It was the first time Travis, Kylie and Stormi had appeared on the red carpet together since attending the premiere of the rapper’s Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly, in August 2019.
The reunion episode also saw mum-of-four Kim open up about what caused the breakdown in her relationship with the Stronger rapper.
Host Andy asked: ‘If I asked you point blank, “Why did your marriage not work?” what would you attribute it to?’, with the star replying: ‘I honestly don’t think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part.
‘I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try. You know, we have four kids.
‘There’s nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself.’
Kim added that she saw her marriage to Kanye as her ‘first real marriage’, and said: ‘I respect him so much and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can’t see that going away.
‘I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my kids, Kanye will always be family.’
Kanye is believed to have moved on with supermodel Irina Shayk, with the stars pictured in France together earlier this month.
Kim has been romantically linked to celebrities herself, including singer Maluma and CNN’s Van Jones, but she denied the rumours on the reunion show.
