Kerry Katona was overcome with shame after revealing she didn’t like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s baby name and delivered an emotional apology.
The 42-year-old former Atomic Kitten performer joined the discussion over the name of the Love Island star’s daughter this week, after the couple revealed they had named their newborn girl Bambi.
Molly had previously teased the name by suggesting that people would either love it or hate it, so she was probably expecting Bambi to divide opinion – but she still banned comments on her Instagram announcement when some mocked it.
Kerry, one of those who didn’t understand Molly and Tommy’s name decision, suggested in her OK! magazine column that they change it so she wouldn’t get’stick’ from youngsters at school.
‘I think Bambi Fury sounds a bit ridiculous. It reminds me of the Disney film where the mother gets shot!’ she wrote.
Kerry, on the other hand, is more than a little sorry for what she posted, and she turned to Instagram to seek Molly for forgiveness, claiming she felt like a ‘w****r’.

Kerry tagged Molly’s account in the video on her Instagram stories, saying it had’really played on my mind’ since she wrote it, and ‘when I read it in my column I thought “Bloody Hell Kerry, that sounds a bit harsh!’
‘I was trying to be a comedian and sometime when you mix the two it doesn’t come across very well,’ she said, adding: ‘Bambi Fury is a great name.’
Kerry expressed her regret, saying that it had’really played on my mind’ and that she would ‘never want to drag somebody down.’
‘I would never want to bully anybody or hurt anybody. I’m not that kind of person in the slightest. Sometimes I’ll say something that I think is funny and it actually isn’t.’
She made fun of herself, saying she couldn’t say much since “my son is named after bloody Max Clifford… that says it all really!”
Following the video, Kerry published a screenshot of an article in which Molly-Mae discussed how “nasty” some people were about her daughter’s name.
The Eternal Flame singer stated that she saw the piece and that it “made me feel like a right w****r.”
‘I of all people should know better! Was trying to come across as funny but instead came across as a t*t.’

She stated that she’really enjoys it.’ ‘I was only trying to be amusing… my heartfelt apologies,’ he says.
Bambi is of Italian origin and is said to be derived from the term ‘bambino,’ which means ‘child,’ yet many people associate it with the cartoon deer, a picture of which Molly and Tommy keep in their daughter’s room.
‘It’s not made up, it’s definitely not made up, I can’t describe it,’ the PrettyLittleThing creative director stated in a prior YouTube Q&A on what she would call her child.
‘It’s just not a name that’s ever been used before. It’s very very different and rare and you’re either going to love it or hate it.
‘I’ve had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It’s always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I’ve always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too.’
