Kerry Katona has shared her heartbreak after her teenage daughter told her she ‘didn’t want to be here anymore.’

The TV personality and former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner has urged people to ‘speak out’ if they need to as she revealed one of her children suffers greatly from anxiety.

Kerry, 41, has five children: daughters Molly Marie, 20, and 19-year-old Lilly-Sue with ex-husband Brian McFadden, and Maxwell, 13, and Heidi, 15, with ex Mark Croft; she also has daughter Dylan-Jorge, seven, with late ex George Kay.

Writing in her column for New! magazine this week, Kerry spoke about how frightening she found Christine McGuinness’ revelation that her daughter had told her during the pandemic that she no longer wanted to live.

She said her own daughter Heidi ‘suffers with anxiety and a lack of self-confidence’ and has ‘got to a point where she’s spoken like that.’

‘She once sat on my bed and told me she didn’t want to be here anymore.’

Kerry wrote that she ‘cried her eyes out,’ and felt ‘completely helpless’ to make her daughter feel better.

She added, however, that she is grateful Heidi feels she can be ‘open’ with her mother and tell her how she is feeling.

Kerry went on to admit that Heidi struggled after Kerry’s ex, Kay, died in 2019, two years after splitting from the former Atomic Kitten singer.

The teenager has undergone grief counselling, and Kerry herself says she has returned to her doctor to ask for help with her own anxiety.

She told anyone struggling: ‘It’s so important to reach out.’

Kerry’s column comes after reality star Christine revealed her daughter, nine, who has autism, no longer wanted to live as she struggled under the Covid19 lockdown rules.

Christine shares three children with Paddy McGuinness: nine-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, and five-year-old daughter Felicity.

All three youngsters, as well as Christine, have been diagnosed with autism, which means they may find it difficult to communicate with or understand others.

Penelope struggled to understand why things had changed at her school when social distancing measures were put in place, and her teacher ‘wasn’t allowed to give her a cuddle when she was upset.’

‘She took it very personally,’ Christine told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine. ‘And she said: “Mummy, I don’t want to live any more. I want to go to heaven”.’

Christine explained that Penelope ‘wasn’t able to understand the severity of what she was saying’, but naturally found her statement ‘so worrying’.

The reality star and former Take Me Out presenter recently confirmed they have called time on their marriage and have split up, though are still living together.

In a joint statement, they said: ‘A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

‘This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.’
