We’re still waiting on Legally Blonde 3 to be released, but until then, we have Kim Kardashian doing her best Elle Woods impression.
What, like it’s hard?
Kim is studying to become a qualified lawyer, but while she is committed to her studies, she isn’t going to lock herself away in a library to reach her goal.
Instead, the 40-year-old put on her tiniest bikini and maximised her time by soaking up some rays as well as knowledge.
In a series of Instagram pictures, Kim wore a beige string bikini, a bandana and sunglassesas she read books and scanned her laptop while tanning in the California sun.
In the third picture, the reality star kicked up her legs on the table, revealing she was wearing a pair of Yeezys – the shoes created by her estranged husband Kanye West.
The caption read: ‘Studying in the Sun ☀️ ?⚖️’, and considering Elle Woods – the aspiring lawyer Reese Witherspoon played in Legally Blonde – was bikini-clad for most of her Harvard application video and for an outdoor study session, the references rolled in.
Country star Kacey Musgraves commented: ‘Elle Woods wishes’, while others begged: ‘Be my lawyer.’
This isn’t the first time Kim has embodied the screen lawyer, as for Halloween 2019, the mum-of-four recreated Elle’s Harvard video essay to a tee.
Reese was a big fan, telling Entertainment Tonight: ‘She actually wrote me and said “I’m gonna do it”, and I was like, go for it. It turned out great, she did a great job.

‘She did scenes, she had extras, they were all in costumes… the whole thing.’
Kim revealed back in 2019 that she had begun a four-year apprenticeship with a San Francisco firm, and plans to take the bar in 2022.
She told Vogue: ‘I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society.
‘I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.’
In California, people can study law without attending law school by apprenticing with a practising lawyer or judge, and as Kim passed the ‘baby bar’ last year, she can continue on with her study.
Kim – whose father Robert Kardashian was a lawyer who represented OJ Simpson in his murder trial – has pledged not to begin any new businesses until she passes the bar, telling WWD: ‘I want to finish that, before I connect with something else.’
The star, who recently became a billionaire thanks to businesses including KKW Beauty and Skims, is interested in criminal justice reform and previously met with then President Donald Trump to discuss prison reform.
