Following a whirlwind romance of almost a year, Blink-182 drummer Travis, 45, got down on one knee and proposed to Kourtney, 42, on a beach in California on Sunday evening.
The couple went public with their sizzling romance in February this year and, frankly, judging by their increasingly PDA-filled outings over the past few months, an engagement was inevitable.
Sources revealed that Kourtney’s sister Khloe Kardashian and mum Kris Jenner helped orchestrate the proposal and were actually there at the time. The newly-engaged couple then celebrated the milestone with Kourtney’s family at an intimate dinner later that evening.
Kim, 40, was among the first to share the big news on social media, tweeting a photo of the happy couple and Kourtney flashing that blinding diamond engagement ring, with the caption: ‘KRAVIS FOREVER.’
While the rest of the clan shared various loved-up photos from the romantic day, other celebrities rushed to congratulate the pair.
Model Winnie Harlow said: ‘Ahhhhh 😍congratulations.’
Family friend Simon Huck wrote: ‘Congratulations @kourtneykardashian @travisbarker I love you guys so much.’
Sharing an insight into the proposal, a source told E! News: ‘Kourtney looked very surprised to see Khloe and Tristan there.
‘Travis escorted Kourtney down to the beach, where he had red and white florals set up in the shape of a heart. It looked very romantic. I could see Kourtney smiling from ear to ear and put her hand over her mouth looking surprised. The family cheered for them and went back into the hotel.’
Another insider said ‘they surprised [the couple] afterwards inside the hotel’.
The couple began dating in December 2020 after several years of friendship and being neighbours, before going public with their relationship last Valentine’s Day.
It will be the first marriage for Kourtney, who was previously in longtime relationship with Scott Disick, while Travis has been married twice before – the first time to Melissa Kennedy, and the second to Shanna Moakler.
