Now that the festive season is officially here, it appears that Christmas elves (or so she was told) are wreaking havoc in Kim Kardashian’s house.
On Friday, the 41-year-old reality star shared a series of videos on social media in which she discovered that parts of her home had been destroyed by various arts and crafts supplies, including colourful feathers, paper, and furry pompoms.
And according to Kim’s 5-year-old son, Saint West, the elves are to blame.
The footage began with Kim walking into what she described as a ‘huge mess’ in her house seeing the arts and craft supplies scattered all over the floor. Saint piped up in the background that ‘the elves’ were the culprits.
‘What is happening?’ Kim said, as she walked through the house. ‘The elves made a huge mess?’
‘Yeah,’ Saint piped up in the clip, but the mum-of-four didn’t buy it.
‘Why is everyone gonna now do stuff and then blame it on the elves?’ she said, adding emojis at the bottom of the video indicating she knew her son was telling a festive fib.
As Kim and Saint continued to walk through the house in the clip, they eventually reached the ahem, person responsible: an Elf on the Shelf.
Saint said it was also his sister Chicago’s elf. However, Kim pointed out that the elf had ‘a broken arm,’ just like Saint, who broke his arm back in September, so he couldn’t have acted alone.
‘You know, these elves were quarantined last year so they’re probably just losing it this year,’ Kim joked, concluding the videos.
This isn’t the first time the ‘elves’ and his friends have been, sometimes literally caught up in mischief. Kim also shared a clip of another game her kids were playing on Instagram Stories, where the elves were kidnapped by scarier toys, like a T-Rex and a gooey monster, who’d written a ransom note.
‘We will only release the elves if you are good today,’ read the note. ’They did this,’ Kim added, referring to the evil toys.
Kim shares her four children with soon-to-be ex-husband Kanye West, aka Ye, and recently spoke out about the reasons behind their split.
‘I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision,’ she told host Andy Cohen. ‘And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try. You know, we have four kids.’
‘There’s nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself.’
‘I respect him so much and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can’t see that going away.’
