Ladbaby star Roxanne Hoyle has opened up about her parenting advice for Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes, who have announced that they’re expecting their first child.
The YouTube star and her husband Mark Hoyle, who are perhaps best known for their string of sausage roll themed Christmas number ones, share two sons, Kobe and Phoenix.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk about Zoe and Alfie’s happy news, ahead of her Mother’s Day collection with In The Style launching, Rox explained: ‘My advice is just go with what they think is right and get some sleep now before [the baby] comes!
‘I think what I would tell anyone is sleep! Just get your sleep and make sure there’s coffee in! They’ll be amazing parents, bless them.’
During lockdown, Rox has been keen to connect with other mums, inadvertently starting a bit of a celeb ‘mum squad’, which she joked is just like the Avengers.
‘Scarlett Moffat and I are friends, I speak a little bit with Stacey Solomon and Rosie Ramsey, and I’m very good friends with Giovanna Fletcher. To me, they’re just normal girls – they’re lovely and they’re really kind,’ she explained.
‘They’re really supportive because this is a new world to me, this whole In The Style thing is just something I’m not really used to doing. Obviously with In The Style as well, I’ve got to speak with Jac Jossa and she’s absolutely the dream – I’ve always bought her collection! It’s nice to talk to these ladies.’
‘It’s a total mum squad!’ she laughed. ‘We’re like the Avengers’.
It seems that positivity also extends to her whole community, with Rox saying: ‘I’ve not had any negativity really. All I’ve had is lots of support, lots of kind messages – I can’t complain, really!’
While she’s been loving spending more quality time with the family in lockdown, when asked if she’d like to have any more kids, her answer couldn’t be more clear.
‘I have been in a year-long lockdown with three lads. I am gonna actually just let you come to the conclusion that no is the answer to that one!
‘Everyone always says to me, “You need to have a girl, you need to have a girl,” but you know me, I’ll end up with twin boys! For me, it’s a no. But Mark never gives up. Mark will always want more, he wants a football team, I think.’
Rox has just announced her new collaboration with In The Style, with the star over the moon with her creations.
‘I literally have just created and designed pyjamas, hoodies, loungewear and stuff you can mummy and go to school in, and now I get to wear it all the time! So I’m never gonna be dressed,’ she laughed.
‘I just hope and pray that all the mums, and even non-mums, all the nans and all of that, love it!’
She added that it’s ‘for all the girls out there who just want a day of lounging.’
‘I know we’ve been in a year of loungewear and PJs but come on, I’m gonna extend it!’ she declared.
Too right too!
