Let’s Stay Together actor Bert Belasco dies of suspected ‘fatal aneurysm’ aged 38

BET star Bert Belasco has died at the age of 38 after he ‘suffered a fatal aneurysm’.

According to reports, the Let’s Stay Together star had been in quarantine at a hotel in Richmond, Virginia when he died on Sunday.

Belasco’s father, Bert Sr., told TMZ that his son was found dead after the actor’s girlfriend couldn’t reach him and asked staff to check in on him.

The actor was in Virginia for a new movie he was set to appear in.

While the family believe he died of an aneurysm, they are waiting for autopsy results before announcing his official cause of death.

Bert starred as Charles in Let’s Stay Together on the BET series which ran for four seasons.

His character was a contractor and the fiancé of main character Stacy Lawrence, played by Nadine Ellis, 49.

While he also starred in The Mick, Key and Peele, Justified, I’m Dying Up Here and Pitch.

Friends and fans alike were saddened by the news as actress Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted: ‘I am gutted by this news. Bert was my friend!

‘We had JUST talked last week. He was happy and excited about his new project and all the good that was to come. No day is promised. NO DAY.’
