Liam Gallagher has been forced to cancel an upcoming show in Belfast after he injured his face falling out of a helicopter.
The Oasis star, 49, pulled out of performing at Belsonic festival in Ormeau Park, Belfast, this Friday after being told by doctors that he should ‘rest up’ and not sing due to damage to his nose.
Liam announced the news on Twitter, telling his fans: ‘Absolutely gutted to cancel my Belfast show this weekend.
‘I had an accident after IOW [Isle Of Wight] festival and have bust my nose so cant sing. The Doctors have told me to rest up.
‘Apologies to all the people who has bought tickets.. the show is being rescheduled…i’ll make it up to ya. LG x.’
Liam had originally been due to perform at the Belsonic festival in August 2020, but the event was one of many that had to be postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
He shared a poster image announcing that the show will be rescheduled for June 24, 2022, with all existing tickets remaining valid for the new date.
Liam had tweeted a photo of his bruised face covered in white ointment as well as plasters on his nose after a freak accident.
He explained: ‘So check this out I fell out the helicopter last night you couldn’t rite it all good who said RnR is dead Keith moon eat your drum skin out C’mon you know LG x.’ (sic)
When asked how he managed to faceplant his way out of a helicopter, Liam had no answers, telling a fan: ‘You tell me.’
Joking about the incident on his birthday on Tuesday, Liam added: ‘Real beauty comes from within so still a good looking c**t Happy Birthday to me LG x.’
