Liam Gallagher is giving up alcohol until June – when the lockdown restrictions are lifted.
The Oasis star confirmed that he has stopped drinking at the beginning of the year, and is planning to stay teetotal until June.
In fact, the 48-year-old has pencilled in June 25th for huge celebrations.
When a Twitter user asked if he was still ‘off the booze’, the Wonderwall singer replied: ‘Yeah body is a temple.’
Another questioned if he was ‘staying dry’ until the pubs open, to which he added: ‘I ain’t drinking till June 25th.’
Someone get us an invite to that party.
Liam previously opened up about being sober, and believes that he becomes ‘too boring’ when he doesn’t drink.
In a previous interview, the music icon said: ‘I do like a drink, I’m not an alcoholic, but I like talking s**t to people, I like the s**t that comes with drinking. But I have been sober for six months before, it’s just boring.
‘I felt too good, I was opening doors for people and getting old ladies’ bags of shopping and saying, “I’ll help you across the road,” f**k that. I don’t want to feel that good, who wants to feel too good?’
Liam has a lot to celebrate at the moment, after it was announced that Reading and Leeds Festivals will be going ahead later this year.
The annual bash was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, but is set to return in August, following the easing of lockdown measures in the UK in June.
Organisers said they ‘can’t wait to get back in the fields’ via the festival’s official Twitter page.
A tweet read: ‘Reading and Leeds 2021. Following the government’s recent announcement, we can’t wait to get back to the fields this summer. LET’S GO.’
The festival is due to take place between 27 and 29 August, with Liam and Stormzy headlining the bash.
