Rapper Lil Wayne appeared to react to the news his relationship came to an end due to his endorsement of President Donald Trump in the US election.

The A Milli hitmaker was allegedly dumped by his girlfriend Denise Bidot and the rapper seemed to confirm the news on Twitter today.

He wrote: ‘I live the way I love and love the way I live. I’m a lover not a lighter bekuz they burn out.

‘I am an eternal fire and burning love, either leave with a tan, a 3rd degree burn, or stay and die in love. You’re sweating. Sincerely, the fireman (sic).’

Fair enough.

Earlier this week, fans noticed the 38-year-old and his model girlfriend no longer followed each other on social media.

The 34-year-old model then went on to delete her Instagram account, but not before sharing cryptic posts which seemed to hint things were over between her and the music superstar.

According to TMZ and Love B. Scott, Denise called time on the relationship as a source said: ‘She broke up with Wayne. It wasn’t just his Trump support, but that was a big part.’

The couple went Instagram official in the summer but it’s never been clear how long they had been in a relationship for.

Weezy F. Baby’s reported split comes after the rapper was slammed by EGOT winner John Legend for supporting Trump.

The A Milli rapper shared a photo of himself posing with the President last month, with both giving a thumbs up to the camera in front of US flags.

The 38-year-old captioned the snap: ‘Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership.

‘He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.’
