Lizzo has taken the time to respond to a rather bizarre and baffling rumour she killed someone after stage-diving at a concert.
Yes, this was something Lizzo felt the need to address.
While that rumour had eluded us, Lizzo knew all about it and apparently it’s accusing her of, what, landing on someone at a gig and killing them?
Sharing her thoughts on the rumour on TikTok Wednesday, Lizzo set the record straight as she said: ‘I’ve seen a lot of annoying things about me on the internet, but the thing that bothers me the most is this rumour that I stage-dived at a concert and killed somebody.
‘It’s a lie, first of all. I’ve never stage dived in my life, and bitch… How? Like, killed somebody!? Y’all really going to put that on my motherf***ing name? Like, I know I’m big, but bitch, I’m not that f***ing big.’
To bring the point home, Lizzo was then seen ‘stage-diving’ onto her bed and, we have to say, it doesn’t look murderous.
We tried to find the original rumour, but social media has been awash with people trying to claim the bizarre accusation over the past 24 hours.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
When a follower asked Lizzo who started the rumour, the star was just as in the dark as the rest of us, but insisted: ‘I wish I could tell them to their face they’re dead wrong.’
Feeling fired up, the star went on to address whatever rumours her fans had heard, starting with one that she was working on an album – to that she hilariously (and sarcastically) dismissed…from a studio…with Mark Ronson…
She said: ‘An album? Absolutely not… I’m not making no f***ing album.
‘I’m not in a studio. This isn’t Mark Ronson. This isn’t a whole [sound] board. I’m not making a f***ing album. Where you get that from?’
She then confirmed she was, indeed, pregnant with ‘a little America’ after a fan joked she was with Chris Evans’ child, after she went a drunk message to the Captain America star.
Lizzo’s TikTok really is the gift that keeps on giving.
