Made In Chelsea’s Ollie Locke wants to start family with new husband Gareth after surprise wedding

Made In Chelsea’s Ollie Locke wants to start a family with new husband Gareth Locke, following their surprise wedding.

The couple have been together for around 12 years, and got married last month at the Natural History Museum, in London – in scenes that will be shown on tonight’s episode of the E4 series.

Viewers have seen the lovebirds worrying about their nuptials throughout the current series, with the finale seeing them organising their big day just hours before the second lockdown came in.

Speaking about life as a married man, Ollie, 31, told Hello! Magazine they are already planning to have children together.

‘As soon as you say “I do”, it’s the start of a great adventure,’ he said. ‘And this is something that we have wanted for a long time. Now let’s see if we can create a family – that’s the next stage.’

Ollie and Gareth pulled their wedding together in 48 hours, saying their vows in front of 13 guests – including co-stars Binky Felstead and Olivia Bentley, who served as bridesmaids.

The pair also made history as the first gay ceremony held at the Natural History Museum – which was filled with thousands of candles and hundreds of white flowers for the occasion.

Close friends also attended a pre-wedding bash at the swanky Bluebird restaurant the evening before, with Tiffany Watson, Lydia Bright and Ella Eyre among those in attendance.

Lifting the lid on their big day, Ollie explained that it was like something out of a rom-com.

‘It was just spectacular. It was so elegant, so incredibly beautiful and so special. It was very unique and very us,’ he continued. ‘I love living my life as a rom-com and it was exactly how we wanted it. I knew it was going to change our lives forever.

‘There was an aura about it. Everyone was wearing masks, there were candles everywhere, it was dark outside and it felt magical, almost gothic. There was something very Dickensian about it.’

Their big day comes after Ollie and Gareth explained that a previous venue they had set their hearts on had rejected them over their sexuality.

Speaking to Sophie Hermann in a recent episode, Gareth said: ‘We had this idea of getting married in this beautiful church, and we found this beautiful church and like going through the process of actually having a wedding there how are we going to do it and then we found out that basically we can’t actually get married there.

‘They don’t do gay marriages.’

‘Obviously I must admit that was the most upset I’d been for a long time because it kind of, we’ve obviously fought for so many years for all of this, and we’re so delighted that it’s now a legal situation that we are allowed to get married and we wanted to celebrate that,’ Ollie continued.

‘For someone to literally turn around and say, “You can’t I’m afraid, we’ll give you a blessing”.’

Although same-sex marriage legislation has changed, currently gay marriages are not possible in the Church of England.

While they were limited on numbers for their guest list, we can all get a front row seat to the wedding of the year on tonight’s Made In Chelsea.

Made In Chelsea airs tonight, at 9pm, on E4.
