Her 2019 tour might have been tarnished by injury after suffering problems with her knee and hip, but Madonna is out here embracing her scars.
Last year, the queen of pop suffered a multitude of setbacks while hitting the road, with the star falling off a chair on stage and being forced to cancel several shows thanks to ongoing pain.
In November, Madonna proudly called herself a ‘survivor’ as she revealed a scar on her right hip, suggesting she had undergone surgery to help treat her injuries.
Now, the Holiday hit-maker, 62, is keeping fans up to date with her recovery and she looked incredible as she stripped down to a crop top and briefs for her latest cupping treatment.
Madonna took a couple of mirror selfies and made sure to capture her scar on show, with her briefs splitting where her bandaged scar sat just below her hip.
She wrote: ‘#recovery, #cupping, #beautifulscar.’
The music icon showed off her amazing figure as she captured the cupping marks on her legs.
She was fresh-faced and wore her pink hair down in the pictures, along with a colourful beaded necklace and bracelets.
Madonna first revealed her hip scar to fans on Instagram in November, when she posted a picture of her lying back and lifting up her dress to reveal her patched up scar underneath.
She wrote: ‘Madame X is a survivor #newmoon #miracles.’
Madonna had been on her Madame X tour last year when she was struggling with ongoing pain in her hip and knee.
In May, she revealed she was undergoing regenerative treatment for missing cartilage to help with the pain. She told fans: ‘Finally going to get my regenerative treatment for my missing cartilage!!
‘I would be jumping up and down if I could after 8 months of being in pain. Wish me luck!’
She also shed light on the extensive rehabilitation she has been doing, as she informed fans of cancellations she had to make to some of her tour dates back in January.
‘As you all know i have multiple injuries and have had to cancel shows to give myself time to recover… doing 3 shows in a row is too much on my body and in fact my doctors insist i take a day off after every show but i believe can manage if i do 2 shows then I rest,’ Madonna revealed on social media.
She continued: ‘It’s a miracle I have gotten this far but a-lot has to do with the fact that I do 6 hours of re-hab every day [sic].
‘3 hours before show and 3 after with multiple therapies. I have also switched to flat shoes and modified difficult parts of the show. This has helped enormously but I still need to be careful and of course rest is the best medicine.’
‘I never want to cancel any show and I’m determined that I will make it to the end if I pace myself,’ she insisted, before signing off. ‘God willing.’
