Maura Higgins has made her feelings about boyfriend Giovanni Pernice crystal clear in a heartfelt social media post to celebrate his birthday.

The former Love Island star began dating the Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer earlier this year before going public in July.

It looks like the lovebirds are more smitten than ever with Maura, 30, showing her appreciation for Giovanni as he celebrated his 31st birthday on Sunday.

‘Happy Birthday to the man who makes me feel beautiful and loved every single day, You make my world complete. I love you,’ Maura wrote, in the Instagram post while also branding a ‘beautiful man’ in her stories.

She included a carousel of loved-up photos, including one of Maura cradling Giovanni’s head as he slept on a sofa, and another of them posing against the backdrop of the sea while glammed up.

Giovanni replied: ‘Thank you baby !!! I love you so much.’

Maura’s best friend Molly-Mae Hague commented on the post: ‘Ohhhh so perfect❤️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIO❤️.’

Love Island star Lucie Donlan said: ‘You guys? Happy Birthday Giovanni.’

Joanna Chimonides wrote: ‘Adorable !!!!❤️’

Over on his own Instagram, Giovanni honoured his special day, writing: ‘30+1 today ☺️ thank you for all your lovely messages !! Feeling the love G♥️.’

Maura was first linked to Giovanni earlier this year following her split from Chris Taylor, with rumours sparked when they posted very similar photos from Italy’s Euro 2020 game against Austria.

The rumours amped up when she was spotted at the opening night of his dance tour, with an insider revealing how ‘smitten’ they seemed at an after-party.

‘They looked totally smitten with each other,’ they told the Sun. ‘They were being very touchy-feely and had a smooch on the dancefloor.’

In July, the couple decided to go public with Instagram posts in which they each declared: ‘I’m yours.’
