The Don’t Hate The Playaz star, 26, has well and truly secured the bag, racking up more than £1.3million throughout her career – thanks to her presenting stints on The Circle and 4Music, and collaborations with JD Sports among others.As well as this, she has also modelled for Adidas and Maybelline, and appeared on a string of shows.
Speaking about her thoughts on money, she clarified that she actually nailed her millionaire status two years ago.
However, the star insisted that money was never her main motivation – but that it’s ‘nice’ to be smashing it on all levels.
‘You do something you enjoy and then you get paid for it and you’re like: “Oh my gosh, this is so cool!”,’ she told Evening Standard.
As well as treating herself, Maya also used her fortune to purchase her first home in London – and has been loving life ever since.
The model recently made headlines after speaking out about her relationship with rapper Stormzy, explaining that they never saw themselves as a ‘celebrity couple’.
The pair got to know each other in 2015, before they called time on their romance four years later.
Chatting on an episode of Shopping With Keith Lemon, she let slip: ‘I didn’t ever feel like a celebrity couple. Everyone else made it like that.
‘We just had a normal relationship. And then everyone was just talking about it. We met when we were like 20, before anyone cared about us.
‘Basically, I always said it was like a normal relationship but people wanted to look at it more and talk about it more.’
