Justin Bieber has no plans to become a Hillsong pastor, despite recent reports.
It has been claimed the 26-year-old was hoping to help lead Hillsong after the firing of his preacher pal Carl Lentz.
Taking to Instagram Story on Monday, the Holy singer dismissed claims he was training to become a minister at the popular church.
He wrote: ‘IM NOT STUDYING TO BE A MINISTER OR ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE TO THAT. HAVE NO DESIRE FOR THAT THIS IS FAKE NEWS (sic)’
The singer then clarified his connection to the megachurch as he added: ‘AND BTW HILLSONG IS NOT MY CHURCH.. FOR CLARITY I AM A PART OF CHURCHOME.’
Justin continued: ‘Church is not a place. We are the church. We don’t need a building to connect with god. God is with us wherever we are.’
In the past, the Canadian singer has been known to praise Hillsong for saving him from his ‘dark’ days of public meltdowns and arrests.
Justin and Hailey were close to the megachurch’s hipster pastor Carl Lentz, who recently quit his job as a pastor after he admitted cheating on his wife.
