Kristin Cavallari and estranged husband Jay Cutler are not back together, so we can all calm down now.
The Hills star and the former NFL quarterback filed for divorce last year but sparked rumours they have secretly reunited after her split from comedian Jeff Dye.
Taking to Instagram, the former couple – who share sons Camden and Jaxon, and daughter Saylor – both shared a cosy selfie on their own pages, with the same caption.
‘The world is full of users. 10 years. Can’t break that,’ it read.
Right on cue, fans flooded the posts with questions, asking if this meant they were officially giving their marriage another try.
However, an insider has poured ice cold water on those theories, insisting that they are just good pals.
‘They are friends and single,’ the source told People. ‘They will always have each other’s back no matter what.’
So that’s that, then.
Kristin and Jay first started dating in August, 2010, before announcing their engagement the following year.
After a very brief split, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Nashville, in 2013.
Their marriage played out in front of the cameras, with the couple being the focus of E! series Very Cavallari, for two years.
Fans were left stunned when they announced their divorce in 2020, after a decade-long romance.
The Laguna Beach alum confirmed the news with a statement on Instagram, telling followers: ‘With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce.
‘We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made and the children we are proud of.
‘This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.’
Kristin later started dating Jeff Dye – with things appearing to become serious between the lovebirds when they dropped the ‘L bomb’ on social media earlier this month.
It is not clear what led to their romance ending, and neither have addressed the split publicly.
