Olivia Wilde reportedly stepped back from working on Rainey Qualley’s Love Me Like You Hate Me music video due to Shia LaBeouf’s ‘unprofessional behaviour’.
The actress and filmmaker, 36, had directed a video for Rainey, which starred her sister Margaret Qualley and Shia LaBeouf, but later left the project after Shia submitted his own cut and asked for that to be used instead.
Rainey had announced on Instagram in October that she and a team had made a ‘short choreographed film’ starring Margaret and Shia, who are since rumoured to be dating in real life.
Shia and Margaret had starred in the video for Love Me Like You Hate Me, where they played a couple through various scenarios of intimate and explosive moments, including fully nude scenes.
The Hollywood Reporter’s sources claim that Olivia, who is rumoured to be dating Harry Styles, had originally directed the project as a favour to the sisters after previously working with Margaret on the short film Wake Up.
They claim that Olivia had a period of time to finish her cut after filming wrapped, but before the period ended, Shia had submitted his own cut, which he sent over in a group email.
Olivia is said to have replied that she was happy to take a look and would submit her own cut shortly, which Shia allegedly disagreed with.
The Hollywood Reporter’s source claims he ‘responded again by suggesting that the correct response would have been to write thank you and that “we should go with this”’ in reference to his own cut.
A source who claims to have seen the email says Shia wrote: ‘Great jazz musicians know when not to play’, to which Olivia is said to have responded: ‘I’m out’.
Since Olivia exited the project, Luke Turner is listed as the director on IMDb Pro.Credit: Original article published here.
