Orlando Bloom has revealed how having a new baby has impacted his intimacy with fiancee Katy Perry, admitting they’re ‘not having enough sex’ at the moment.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor welcomed his first child with Katy, daughter Daisy, in August.
No doubt like many new parents, the couple are apparently facing challenges with scheduling alone time with a newborn to look after.
When asked how often he’s having sex, Orlando told The Guardian: ‘Not enough – we just had a baby, though.’
Elsewhere in the interview, he recalled his ‘best kiss’ being with a girlfriend when he was 17 and proved just how open and honest he is about his life, stating: ‘Sadly, I don’t believe there is anything that people don’t know about me.’
Orlando, 44, previously praised his sex life with Katy, 36, and explained how it’s strengthened their relationship.
He told news.com.au in 2019: ‘I would say that sex is a really important part of life because it’s a way to connect, it’s a way to show intimacy. Intimacy is an incredibly important part of life because if you can be intimate with somebody, then you’re blessed, right?’
Last year, the Lord of the Rings actor revealed that he embarked on a complete sex-ban in 2016.
‘I wasn’t happy. [His friend] Laird said, “If you want to be serious about a relationship, go celibate for a few months and figure it out”,’ Orlando recalled to The Sunday Times.
‘It takes away the idea of going to a party and thinking, “Who am I going to meet?” I was suddenly like, “Oh, I can have a relationship with a woman that is just a friend”.’
However, he wouldn’t recommend celibacy to others as he doesn’t think it’s ‘healthy’.
Orlando’s sex-ban ended when he began dating Katy and the rest is history – the couple got engaged in 2019 before welcoming their first child together.
The actor is already father to 10-year-old son Flynn from his former marriage to model Miranda Kerr.
