Peter Andre has revealed he was lucky not to have been killed in a freak car accident when he was a child, which was so dramatic it even made the news at the time.
The singer, 47, took a trip to his childhood home in Harrow, London in his latest family YouTube video where he and his brother Danny reminisced on the incident.
Pete’s daughter Princess asked him how he ‘almost died’ as the group walked around the area, before Danny took over the story.
He explained: ‘You guys were playing out the back or sitting in the grass having a picnic or whatever with mum, and mum takes you inside; 10 minutes later a car crashes through the back wall and stops exactly where the kids were sitting. It made the papers.’
Danny then joked that Peter was always meant to be famous, adding: ‘That was his first entrance into the media!’
Peter also knocked on the door of the house where his family had lived for the first six years of his life and introduced himself to the new resident, who had moved in only two weeks earlier.
He pointed out the side extensions which still exists on the property was built by his father almost 50 years earlier and admitted the house would always feel like home to them despite having moved away many decades earlier.
Peter also showed his kids Junior and Princess his walk to school, leaving Princess in awe of retracing her dad and uncle’s steps from so many years ago.
Besides taking a trip down memory lane, Peter has also been planning to launch a new career as a health and fitness coach.
He revealed that he would be starting a diet and exercise channel (hey, those Mysterious Girl abs don’t happen by magic) to advise people on nutrition and fitness.
‘As well as our YouTube channel, Life with the Andres, I’ll also be launching a fitness and cooking channel,’ he explained.
‘I want to show people they can eat the foods they want and counteract it with exercise and making subtle changes. I’ve been training since I was 13 so I know all the old and new styles of training and I can help people of all ages and abilities.’
Pete added: ‘Here’s a bit of trivia for you – I’m also a fully qualified body pump instructor, so you may see a class or two from me on that – but don’t expect me to be wearing Lycra.’
