That’s what friends are for, right?
With Piers getting excited about his Black Friday sales, Phillip was having absolutely none of it, showing off his new kitchen gadget.
‘New @insinkerator_uk installed, amazing!’ he wrote. ‘Apparently it will dispose of almost anything.’
He panned from his own book, Life’s What You Make It, to Piers’ Wake Up, before cutting to another shot which appeared to show him crushing the book to nothing.
‘Yup, bit chewy but that works @piersmorgan,’ he added.
Safe to say, Piers is less than impressed.
‘You can’t bury my surging sales, @Schofe,’ he responded, adding a string of cry-laughing emoji.
The pair may have worked together for years, but haven’t always seen eye to eye, with Phillip, 58, writing about his past feud with Piers, 55.
The This Morning star accused Piers of being ‘deceitful’ when the journalist asked for ‘memorabilia’ of his, with Phillip believing he was going to write a series of newspaper articles on him.
It turned out Piers had written an unofficial biography, with Phillip writing in his memoir (via The Mirror): ‘I was furious. Not so much that he had written the book, but that he had deceived me.
‘We didn’t speak for a long time. There were awkward moments: once, the two us were in a lift for what felt like an endless descent.’
With the pair both working at ITV and Piers making a number of appearances on Phil’s show Test The Nation, the presenter added: ‘One day I realised how stupid this feud was.
‘I was angry, and he’d actually been flattering and kind in the biography (although utterly deceitful). It was time to make up. He was nervous when I walked over.
‘“Enough,” I said, and I shook his hand. We’ve been fine ever since.’
Piers hasn’t said much on the feud, but previously made it clear he has ‘no problem with’ Phillip, with the journalist also supporting him when he came out as gay earlier this year.
