Piers Morgan is celebrating his birthday in the best way he knows how – by having a cake decorated with his own book cover smashed into his face.
The former Good Morning Britain host has turned 56 in lockdown, and he seems to have had a blast as he made the most of the sunny weather.
Sharing a photo of himself surrounded by drinks, and giving a thumbs up between two cakes decorated with his book cover, Piers wrote: ‘Thanks for all the birthday messages! It’s my 2nd one in lockdown, but I won’t go hungry or thirsty…’
Piers went on to give his book a good old plug, before he had one of the cakes smashed into his face.
‘Tastes as good as it reads,’ he captioned the clip.
The presenter is clearly making the most of time with his family, with his wife Celia Walden even recently sunbathing with a massive cushion of her husband’s face. We won’t ask questions about that one.

It comes after he quit Good Morning Britain, after he received a record number of Ofcom complaints about Meghan Markle.
He and his co-star Alex Beresford also clashed on the show, with Piers recently claiming that weatherman and presenter hasn’t reached out to him following their tense discussion.

Writing in his Mail on Sunday column, Piers said: ‘I’ve had nice messages from all the other GMB presenters, apart from Alex Beresford, and many of the wonderful production team, from camera operators and producers to make-up artists. Some really moved me.’
However, Alex didn’t seem too bothered, taking to Instagram with a positive message for his followers.
‘Probably shouldn’t have my trainers on this white rug!’ he wrote. ‘Anyway bless up yourselves on what looks like a grey Sunday.
‘Remember the sun still rises and sets so beautifully some place in the world everyday.’
