Piers Morgan has reunited with his former Good Morning Britain co-host Kate Garraway for the first time since his dramatic exit.
Amid his random feud with Nicki Minaj, the presenter attended the Who Cares Wins Awards, and saw some very familiar faces.
Sharing a snap of himself beaming as he hugged Kate, the 56-year-old said: ‘Reunited!
‘First time we’ve seen each other since I left @gmb #whocareswins.’
Piers quit GMB in March after coming under fire for his comments about not believing Meghan Markle in her and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
He clashed with Alex Beresford before storming off set, with his comments sparking 41,000 Ofcom complaints in 24 hours.
Ofcom later announced that Piers didn’t breach the broadcasting code after an investigation.
At the time, Kate, 54, insisted her friendship with her former co-star would continue.
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star explained: ‘That’s the thing about Piers, he is very passionate and does fly kites and always comes from a place of authenticity, he always believes in what he says and he’s left.
‘He’s decided to quit and, as he says, fall on the sword of free speech, but as you rightly say I’ve known him a long time before he started working on this show and our friendship will go on, our personal friendship.
‘He’s been very supportive of me personally. It’s a different show but the show goes on.’
Meanwhile, Piers has been teasing his return to TV, insisting he’s got a big, ‘global’ project on the horizon.
‘I put that post on social media asking if I’d get my job back to prove a point,’ he said of jokingly asking ITV for his job back. ‘I wouldn’t go back, not without a public apology and I’m not going to get one.
‘I’ve got much bigger things coming up. The future is exciting. The next project is global, it’s big.’
He added to Daily Mail: ‘I can’t say what but people are going to hear about it within the next few weeks.’
Piers has remained tight-lipped over what the ‘global’ project could be however he has hinted that he could resume his TV career in the States again or elsewhere abroad.
