Keen for some Rihanna New Year’s Resolutions of boss behaviour? Look no further than her latest shot with Savage X Fenty.
The billionaire superstar often throws us a winner in the form of campaign shots from her lingerie line and she’s managed to tuck one more in right before we switch over into 2022.
And in true RiRi style, she’s managed to inspire us to grab next year by the horns…by being our badass selves, no less.
In a shot posted to the Savage page on Friday, the caption read: ‘Ain’t gotta change ish next year.’
To make sure we were sat up and listening, Rihanna was seen in a lacy purple number from the line – which owned the runway for its annual show recently – as she posed leaning up against a door.
Frankly, she looks ridiculous. And we cannot stress how much that is a compliment.
Of course the comments were echoing our sentiments as one mused: ‘She’s perfect.’
Correctly summarising the situation, another wrote: ‘She looks good af.’
And then there were a bunch of flame emoji for effect elsewhere.
What we want to know is, is this the year of R9?
Rihanna has been dropping all the major hints 2022 is the year we’ll finally get some new tunes from the singer, with her album being a burning topic on her fans’ minds.
In a video doing the rounds on Twitter, Rihanna was asked by a paparazzi earlier this month if there’s anything on the way, and simply replied: ‘Soon, soon, soon’, before sashaying away.
While RiRi didn’t give us an exact date, or slip any song titles, we’ll take whatever information we can get at this point.
The Work singer previously insisted that her new album will be ‘worth the wait’ – but suggested that it won’t be what we’re expecting, as she teased a ‘completely different sound’.
‘You’re not gonna expect what you hear, just put that in your mind,’ she told PA.
‘Whatever you know of Rihanna’s not gonna be what you hear.
‘I’m really experimenting, and music is like fashion, you should be able to play, I should be able to wear whatever I want and I treat music the same way.
‘So, I’m having fun, and it’s going to be completely different.’
Addressing the constant speculation over when the finishing touches will be put on the record, Rihanna previously told Entertainment Tonight that the release will be ‘sooner’ than we think.
‘It’s probably going to be sooner than fans think but I’m just going to leave that alone because I’ve got enough stress and questions like, “R9, where’s the album?”,’ she added.
‘[The fans] don’t leave me alone. I haven’t neglected them, I still got you.
‘Music is still my baby. I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out. And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.’
