Rebel Wilson is vowing to finish off her ‘year of health’ strong and to do so, she’s returned to the place that first inspired her fitness journey.

Over the course of 2020, Rebel has been getting herself into shape after deciding to make some positive changes and overhaul her lifestyle after turning 40.

So far, the Pitch Perfect star has shed around 40lbs and she’s determined to lost just a ‘few more’ before the year is out.

Taking to Instagram, Rebel revealed she has headed back to Austria to visit VIVAMAYR Altaussee – a holistic wellness retreat – where she had first come up with her ‘year of health’ idea.

She shared a stunning snap of her taking in the dreamy scenery on offer as she headed out on a morning walk. Rebel told fans: ‘Enjoying a morning walk amongst health treatments at the glorious @vivamayraltaussee…’

‘Finishing my Year of Health off STRONG at the place that gave me that first kick-start ?,’ she revealed. ‘If you want to boost your immune system, this is the place to be x.’

Rebel added: ‘Ps this is no filter, it really is this beautiful here – they shot part of James Bond Spectre here.’

It comes after the Hollywood star was seen pining after her place of fitness inspo back in March during lockdown when the coronavirus pandemic first hit.

She shared a throwback from when she had travelled to Austria first time around and told her followers: ‘When the borders re-open and we can travel to our favourite places – I can’t wait to go back to @vivamayraltaussee in Austria and continue my health journey!

‘I would walk around this lake every day there (which co-incidentally is also where they filmed the James Bond movie Spectre) – it’s so beautiful and as we’re all realizing right now: health is so important.’

Rebel has thrown herself into her fitness journey, with the star’s trainer recently revealing just how intense her gym regime is.

Jono Castano shed light on a typical week for Rebel and it includes five HIIT sessions a week, as well as a day of weights and resistance training – although he stressed the secret to Rebel’s success is that her training sessions are filled with banter.

‘I love a bit of banter, it makes the session more enjoyable when people bounce off one another,’ Castano told news.com.au. ‘You’ve got to enjoy coming to training. Most people don’t enjoy getting shouted at, that’s not what training is about.’

While Rebel is committed to her new health-forward attitude, the comedian has stressed she won’t get ‘too skinny’ as a result.

‘I never really focused on my health which was probably obvious,’ she said on Drew Barrymore’s US chat show.

‘I love my curves and stuff, I don’t think I’ll ever go too skinny but I feel so much healthier.’
