We’ve all experienced that awkward moment when we believe someone remembers us yet they have no idea who we are.
It turns out that it also happens to celebrities, including Roman Kemp.
When football icon Gary Neville walked up to say hello, the Capital Breakfast radio DJ and One Show host had an uncomfortable run-in.
Roman, 30, shared on X: ‘Just stupidly gone over to shake hands with Gary Neville who I think had no clue who I am.
‘Then I realised he probably never watched the 2019 season of I’m A Celebrity and all I’ve done is disturb his train journey.
‘Serves me right. Apologies, @GNev2.’

Awkward!
‘Thats brilliant he defo owes you something for not recognising you tho,’ one fan laughed.
Another joked: ‘Haha that’s how us none celebs feel every time we approach one of you lot tho.’
Someone else commented: ‘One consolation he probably knows who your mum and dad are though lol.’
Roman’s renowned parents, Martin Kemp of Spandau Ballet and Shirlie Kemp of Wham!, are no strangers to humiliating their son, with a recent live radio stint leaving him embarrassed.
During their live talk on Capital Breakfast, the mother-of-two revealed some unpleasant truth about her only kid to the entire nation.
She stated that the presenter was born in America and made a commotion at the local hospital when they couldn’t find his manhood.
While playing a game of Home Truths, Shirlie revealed: ‘When you were born, which was in America 1993, I remember it well.
‘We were so excited, Dad and I was so excited… didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl or… just so happy to have another baby.
‘But the hospital staff took you away for quite a long time. And we were getting really really worried… all because they said there was a problem finding your willy.’
