Rylan Clark had a negative reaction to an announcement video that covered off player Jordan Henderson’s rainbow armband.
The 34-year-old host took to Twitter to discuss Al-Ettifaq’s choice to black out the Liverpool player’s arm in their video announcing they will be singing the star.
In a since-deleted tweet, he tweeted a photo of Jordan wearing the band in support of the LGBTQ+ community, along with a photo of an irritated lady, expressing his displeasure with the club’s disregard of the emblem.
His tweet had no explanation to clearly explain the meaning of the two photographs he tweeted on Thursday that were side by side.
Given the time of the tweet, it’s possible that the celebrity was referring to the football team’s unwillingness to feature the armband in their promotional materials.
The introduction video alerted supporters to the club’s recent signing by completely blacking out the emblematic armband and replacing it with a black-and-white grab from the player’s arm during a separate game.

Despite his earlier support for the LGBTQ+ community, the sportsman, who has always been regarded as an ally, will now have to deal with the country’s homosexuality laws.
In Saudi Arabia, homosexuality is banned and punishable by death, and the regime is accused of a slew of other violations, including significant limits on women’s rights and the ability to political dissent.

In reaction to the news of Jordan’s move, Liverpool’s LGBT+ Fan Group, Kop Outs, released a statement last night which read: ‘So Henderson, what was it about the multimillion pound contract that first drew you away from your commitment to human rights?’
‘Given choices he has recently made, Kop Outs doubt & question if @JHenderson was ever an actual ally.
‘We are deeply disappointed that he is choosing to work as part of a sportswashing operation, attempting to distract from a regime where women & LGBT+ people are oppressed, & that regularly tops the world death sentence table.’
