Sarah Beeny has revealed that her boys will sing a song they created in her honour at Glastonbury.
The New Life in the Country singer, 51, was diagnosed with breast cancer last August after losing her mother to the disease when she was just ten years old.
Keeping supporters updated throughout her struggle, which included chemotherapy and hair loss, she reported in April that she had received the all-clear.
Her sons Billy, Charlie, Rafferty, and Laurie will sing at the famed event next month after writing a song about her fight with the cancer.
Sarah spoke about the wonderful time for the family on This Morning on Tuesday.
‘It’s amazing. They have a band, and over the past few years, people have struggled quite a lot with life generally and they have a band, The Entitled Sons, which they call themselves ironically,’ she explained when speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Josie Copson.
‘They are very cool and have done amazingly and have released various songs and have just won a competition and will be playing at Glastonbury this year,’ she continued.
‘They also wrote a song which is coming out on Friday called These Days for cancer research and it’s a song that made me cry actually when they played it for me.’
She then said the song was about ‘going through a hard time’, but how things would ‘always get better’.
‘It’s incredibly uplifting and I am so proud.’
Sarah then quipped that she was looking forward to taking use of the privileges of their employment and would try to get backstage at the event, which also features Lizzo, Rick Astley, Elton John, and Fatboy Slim.
Graham Swift, Sarah’s husband, and their father are all members of the Somerset-based band.
They earned their position by competing in the Pilton Stage tournament.
Sarah also mentioned how, when first diagnosed with cancer, she believed “that would be it.”
While she’sort of expected it’ considering her mother’s fight with the cancer, she admitted it was’still terrifying’ and it did ‘take time’ for her to wrap her brain around the fact she may live.
Sarah stated on The One Show last month about getting the all-clear that she felt blessed with her diagnosis and to ‘live in 2022 in the UK with the fantastic NHS’.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
