Wells Adams has asked fans to pray for his wedding to Sarah Hyland to go ahead after the ceremony was forced to be postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Modern Family actress, 30, got engaged to reality star Wells, 37, in 2019, but the couple’s wedding had to be cancelled after the pandemic began.
They have to move the date twice and Sarah is praying it is third time lucky for their wedding day to finally go ahead this year.
Wells told Us Weekly: ‘Wedding update – nothing. We’ve had this thing postponed twice and honestly, I don’t know if I can take a third one. So just pray for us, please.’
The pair have been dating since 2017 and had planned to tie the knot on August 20 last year and while their wedding couldn’t go ahead, they marked the date with a bridal-themed photoshoot instead.
Sarah revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in October 2020: ‘It was my first time out of my house in quarantine and we went to a winery.
‘We went with all of our friends — all of us got tested — our family, our best man, maid of honour.
‘I brought a white dress and a veil I got on Etsy and my bridesmaids got a real wedding bouquet and surprised me and we took fake wedding pictures for fun!’
Wells also joked that he would not marry Sarah on TV on Bachelor in Paradise, adding: ‘No way because my brother’s best man speech would probably make air and I don’t know if I’m ready for that.’
Sarah also shared a sweet photo of the pair kissing on Instagram this week, telling her followers: ‘2 years engaged, almost 1 year of “would have been married”, but forever in love with you @wellsadams.’
