Seth Rogen won’t be pumping the brakes on his almighty row with Senator Ted Cruz anytime soon as their feud was reignited this weekend – over Disney movie Fantasia.
The Knocked Up star continued his campaign against the politician, who he branded a ‘white supremacist fascist’ and a ‘f***ing clown’ for criticising President Joe Biden’s move to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement.
It all kicked off again when Cruz tweeted a response to MGM Studios who asked their followers what the last film they saw in the cinema was.
‘Fantasia. It was playing at a film revival. It scared me; I cried—I was 4. My Mom had to take me out. Good times,’ Cruz replied.
Seth, 38, proceeded to drag his rival and savagely hit back: ‘Everyone who made that film would hate you.’
The Texas senator then informed the actor: ‘They’re all dead. So I think we’re good. And Walt Disney was a Republican. Even though you behave online like a Marxist with Tourette’s (screaming “F U! F U!” is really, really clever), your movies are typically pretty funny. I’m sure you hate that I enjoy them.’
It seems Cruz, 50, took the roasting too far as Seth revealed he suffers from Tourette’s Syndrome, a disorder which involves repetitive movements and sounds that can’t be controlled.
Seth schooled him: ‘As someone who has Tourette’s in their family (and also has a very mild case himself), I once again take great pleasure in telling you to go f**k yourself. (Also VERY few cases of Tourette’s manifest in uncontrollable swearing. Most cases, like mine, manifest in twitching.).’
He added: ‘All jokes aside, @tedcruz is a fascist piece of s**t.’
Cruz, who is Republican, responded: ‘All jokes aside, @Sethrogen is a moron. It’s your party that believes in govt power: to shut your business, to oppress your faith & to censor your speech. Anyone who disagrees, they try to cancel. BTW, a lot of folks in Hollywood are conservative—& muzzled by the fascist Left.’
Echoing his previous accusations towards the politician, Seth shot back: ‘You literally inspired a deadly insurrection you stupid f**k,’ in reference to the Capitol riots.
Something suggests this is one feud that will continue to rage on because, did it ever really end? However, many keeping up with the social media slanging match urged Cruz to put his time to better use with all the serious issues going on in the world.
‘There’s a pandemic, an economic crisis, and the fallout from an insurrection, and “Senator” Ted Cruz has nothing better to do than spend all day feuding with Seth Rogen,’ one follower commented.
‘You’re more responsive to Seth Rogen on Twitter than to your constituents in Texas,’ another hit back.
Others felt the opposite and started the trending hashtag #SethRoganlovesTedCruz, which included one commenting: ‘It’s unseemly, but true. #SethRoganLovesTedCruz Sorry Seth, he’s not going to love you back.’
‘Sorry Seth but Ted is just not that into you!’ another joked.
