Spice Girls star Geri Horner has revealed her beloved pet dog Daddy has died.
Four months after losing her dog Hugo, the 48-year-old singer posted the heartbreaking news on Instagram that another one of her precious pups had gone to doggy heaven after 18 years by her side.
Geri shared a number of photos of her and Daddy together, and she paid an emotional tribute to him in the caption.
‘Goodbye to my special little friend, Daddy the dog,’ she penned. ‘He kept me company when I was lonely.’
‘He was my little baby before I had Bluebell. After eighteen years he has gone to doggy heaven. Rest in peace, We love you.’
Geri’s fans shared their condolences in the comments, with one writing: ‘So sorry for your loss, losing a fur baby is sooo painful.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Oh Geri I’m so sorry to hear. Thinking of you lovely.’
In August, Geri said goodbye to her pet pooch Hugo and shared a video of the two together in which she tells him that she loves him as he licks her face.
‘I think we all, you know, need each other and Hugo needs love, as I do,’ Geri was heard saying in the clip. ‘We all do.’
Geri lives with her husband Christian Horner and her two children, 14-year-old Bluebell, and Monty, three.
She’s a well-known animal lover and has pet dogs, cats, goats, chickens, horses, canaries and miniature donkeys.
