Stacey Solomon marked another special occasion this Christmas with the first anniversary of her engagement to fiance Joe Swash.
The Loose Women star got engaged to the former EastEnders actor on Christmas Eve 2020, and she was feeling all kinds of nostalgic as the anniversary rang around this year.
Marking the occasion, Stacey, 32, shared a throwback photo of her flashing her engagement ring in a selfie, which she released last year to announce the news.
She wrote in a caption: ‘I can’t believe it’s been one whole year. I can not wait to walk down the aisle to you @realjoeswashy with our boys and our little princess.
‘2022 I can’t wait for you.’
It appears Stacey and Joe plan on making sure their children are very much part of their special day. The couple share son Rex, who was born in 2019, while Stacey has two older sons and is stepmum to Joe’s son from a previous relationship.
The pair also welcomed a baby girl, Rose, in October.
Announcing their engagement last year, Stacey wrote in an Instagram post: ‘So since we moved in together two years ago almost every day we walk in the woods across the road. It’s my happy place, I lose myself and breathe in every second of it because to me that’s what life’s all about.
‘My best memories of my life are in those woods. The smell, the different seasons. The freedom I feel watching our boys play there. Today we went for a walk in the woods… like we always do, but it didn’t look the same…’
She continued: ‘Actually full on blubbering as I write this.
‘And with Joe with our boys in my favourite place in the world, he asked me to marry him and after crying for what felt like a very long time, I said yes.’
During a Christmas special of Loose Women yesterday, Stacey shared an update on their wedding plans and revealed the couple have set a new date.
Speaking from their home Pickle Cottage in Essex, the former X Factor star said that ‘if all goes well – because Covid’s still massive and you never know what’s around the corner’, they would ‘love to get married in July next year’.
‘It will be so nice to have the boys and Rose there,’ she added.
