Stacey Solomon defends her kids having different dads and insists: ‘They’re best thing to happen to me’

Stacey Solomon has no time for anyone judging her for having three children by three different dads.

The Loose Women star, 31, is a proud mum to her boys and insisted they are the ‘best thing’ that has ever happened to her – no matter the circumstances.

Stacey shares son Rex, one, with fiancé Joe Swash, and is also mum to sons Leighton, eight, and Zachary, 12, from previous relationships.

She took to Instagram to call out a judgemental troll who had left her a comment criticising her family set-up. It read: ‘It must be very sad having three different dads for your boys. Always apart. Oh well I suppose you are happy about it.’

Firing back, Stacey insisted she is very happy with her three boys. Laughing off the remark, she said: ‘Woah there Wilma, it’s far too early for that kind of judgement.’

Stacey then hit back: ‘And, of course I’m happy about it, they are the best thing that has ever happened to me – no matter how they happened to me.’

‘Never let anyone make you feel like you’re not good enough just because things just happened to work out differently from the “norm”,’ Stacey captioned her video.

‘Keep doing you the best way you know how. Unconditional love from anywhere in different shapes and sizes is all they’ll ever need.’

It comes after Stacey was seen opening up about what it was like to have her first child when she was just 17 years old.

Speaking on Loose Women, she admitted that she struggled with feeling ‘shame’ and like everybody was always looking at her.

‘When I was pregnant with Zack, all I felt the whole way through was shame,’ she confessed. ‘I looked like a baby as well, I looked about six. ‘I think people looked at me like, “Ugh, why is she pregnant?”’

Opening up about motherhood, Stacey told OK! magazine in March that she is ‘so proud’ of her children and is constantly worrying whether she is doing the right thing as a parent.

‘I’m really proud of them, they’re good people,’ she said, adding: ‘The best and hardest thing about being a mum is the responsibility of shaping somebody’s future. It’s a huge responsibility and I’ve spent my entire motherhood worrying if I’m doing the right thing or not.’

Stacey is set to wed former EastEnders star Joe, after he cutely proposed to her on Christmas Eve. She has since revealed that the pair are planning to wed this year, with Joe hinting that they could be married within a ‘few months’.

‘I think Stacey’s really keen to do it this year,’ he teased. ‘I’m really keen as well, because like I said – it’s been a really tough year, and I can’t wait for her to be my wife.’
