Stacey Solomon might be about to give birth any minute but she didn’t let impending labour stop her from giving her home an incredible makeover for Halloween and autumn.
The Loose Women star, 31, who is heavily pregnant with her fourth child, took to Instagram to share the decorations she had installed in her home, which she calls Pickle Cottage, to get ready for the new season.
Posing in front of her elaborately decorated doorway with fiancé Joe Swash and sons Leighton, Zach and Rex, Stacey told her followers: ‘Hello Autumn.
‘The first autumn door at pickle cottage And the sunset tonight was everything. I don’t know how you got us all in and smiling (Thank you Dad) it’s going on the wall.
‘This is a crazy harvesty, swingers grass, hay (superb hay might I add) bonanza but I love it. Even if Rex spent the whole day undoing our handywork. Happy Autumn everyone. I hope the new season brings with it all the happiness you deserve.’
The installation was complete with haybales, pampas grass and an autumnal wreath on the door, as well as pumpkins scattered around in a variety of sizes and colours, as well as a gnome holding a ‘trick or treat’ sign.
Taking to her story, Stacey revealed: ‘The hay has arrived for the autumn door – I’ve never been so excited! £7 a bale from the farmer next door, what a bargain! It actually smells so nice, like fresh farm.’
She later added that people were telling her £7 a bale was ‘well over the odds’ for hay, joking: ‘I’ve been had, ain’t I? Maybe it’s premium hay.’
Stacey added: ‘We went for a harvest theme this year. Like a fresh start, new home and soon to be new pickle.’
Despite being days away from giving birth, Stacey revealed she was also having to bring the hay into the shed each night to keep it dry as she wanted to make sure it stayed fresh so she could give it to some horses once she is finished with it.
Just a day earlier, Stacey had revealed that she thought she would have given birth by now but her daughter is keeping her waiting.
She told her followers: ‘I was just laying here thinking… firstly I was thinking I can’t believe I’m still pregnant. I really thought I’d have had her by now.
‘But this is the first time I’ve been pregnant and not wished the end away because I know I won’t do it again so I’m just trying to like cling on to every second.
‘I was also thinking I’ve actually got to get her here not. Gotta push her out! I’ve been in denial about it for the past nine months I think!’
Stacey joked: ‘It’s number four so I’m hoping I’ll just sneeze her out or a quick [cough] – mazel tov, it’s a girl! But I know it’s gonna be horrendous. I know it’s not bad for everyone but I really don’t love labour. I think it really hurts!’
