Stacey Solomon revealed she was back in hospital with son Rex only 48 hours after first being discharged, after his temperature ‘spiked’.
The Loose Women presenter had been keeping fans up to date with what was going on, after Rex was forced to spend time in hospital after a nasty fall required stitches.
After getting the all clear to head home, Stacey shared she had to take her and fiance Joe Swash’s boy back to the medical facility last night, and she expected to be ‘in for the long haul’.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories on Thursday night: ‘Aw guys… We are back in triage because Rex’s temperature has been spiking tonight.
‘They’re sure it’s all ok but because he’s little and post op they won’t take any risks, so it looks like we are in for the long haul tonight. (sic)’
In another slide of the pair in a hospital bed, she added: ‘We ended up back where we left on Tuesday. Everything is ok and stable…Thank you all so much for asking. It’s been a really long night, and a long week and I’m just so grateful for the NHS care, and kindness. I’m so grateful that pickle is ok…
Grateful for fans’ kindness, she went on: ‘Honestly I’m very tired and emotional but I can’t even begin to describe the comfort your messages and kind words brought to me all through the night. They were like the cuddle I really needed at 3am. So thank you.
‘I’m going to try so hard to look after us all today. Rex, baby and me and get us home and safe as soon as possible. Love you all lots.’
Stacey – who is pregnant with her second child with Joe, and has sons Zach, 13, and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships – admitted it has been one of her ‘most emotional weeks’.
She added: ‘It’s been the longest, most emotional week. I honestly don’t know how I’ve even got one eyelash still on.’
Earlier this week, the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star told her fans about the ‘nightmare’ accident which first landed them in hospital.

She explained: ‘We had a nightmare yesterday. Rex fell over in the garden and we were like, “Up you get.” Then we looked and it was not an “up you get” situation.
‘He hurt his lip so we took him to A&E and he had some little butterfly strips put on.
‘I’m going back today to get him some proper stitches, because it’s in a really awkward place.
‘But he was so good and he didn’t make a sound. He was just like, “Yeah, fix it,” to the doctor. But he was so good.’
And she later confirmed Rex was home from hospital, and thanked the NHS for their hard work.
In a post a few days ago, Stacey wrote: ‘I know I’m extremely overtired but my hormones can’t take these three right now.
‘That’s the biggest smile I’ve seen on his face all day… you just wouldn’t even think any of toaday happened! We love you pickle bum.
‘Everything went so well. We will be bac soon. Thank you for your lovely kind messages.
‘Thank you to everyone here at @bhrut_nhs from giving birth here to fixing the pickles your staff and everyone who works so hard in your trust have always been so amazing.
‘And I know first hand how busy and hard worked you all are. So grateful to our NHS always and forever…
